THE SECOND HALF CAN BE STRONGER.

Chasing hard things.
Finding new limits.
Making the years ahead count.

THE BEST PART DOESN’T HAVE TO BE BEHIND YOU.

Second Half Strong is about refusing to coast through the second half of life.

It’s about finding hard things, chasing new adventures, pushing beyond what you thought you were capable of—and becoming stronger along the way.

I’m trying to live that out through ultra running, endurance challenges, and whatever comes next. This is where I’ll share what I learn along the way—the successes, failures, experiments, lessons, and everything in between.

THIS IS MY SECOND HALF

Not a comeback. Not a midlife crisis. A decision to find out what I’m still capable of.

WHAT’S NEXT

Two races. Two distances I’ve never finished. One goal: keep finding out what I’m capable of.

30 DAYS TO JAVELINA

THE FINAL MONTH BEFORE THE 100 MILE ATTEMPT

Six months after my first attempt ended at mile 52, I’m taking another shot at 100. Follow the final month of training, tapering, planning, and preparation for Javelina.

WHAT DOES SECOND HALF STRONG MEAN?

You can’t be over the hill as long as you KEEP CLIMBING

CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Do hard things. Chase goals that make you uncomfortable.

Keep growing

There’s always another level to discover. Keep learning, adapting, and moving forward.

enjoy the climb

The goal isn’t to fight getting older. It’s to make the years ahead count.

WHY I’M DOING THIS

I’m not chasing races because I think running is the answer.

I’m chasing hard things because I want to see what happens when I stop putting limits on what the second half of my life can look like.

Right now, that means ultramarathons. Someday, it might mean something completely different.

The goal is simple: Keep becoming someone I’m proud of.

THE SECOND HALF STARTS NOW

I don’t know exactly where this goes. That’s kind of the point. Follow along.
